There is no Planet B.

Sustainability has become both increasingly more difficult and easier in the world we live in, but I still try to embed it into everything I do. For me, this means:

  • adopting a vegan diet

  • recycling used hair extensions

  • providing vegan and cruelty-free products in my salon, including plastic-free soap bars by Nope.

  • embedding ahisma at the core of my yoga practice

Taking each day as it comes, while knowing that the steps I’m taking to learn and become more sustainable will make a positive difference to the one and only planet we have!

Ahimsa

a·him·sa    nonviolence towards oneself and all living creatures; an attitude of universal benevolence; the spontaneous expression of the highest form of love; the complete absence of violence from mind, body and spirit.

Ahimsa is one of the five tennets of yoga practice. For me, ahimsa is a practice of self-love in every sense, and of love for others. It is about being gentle to yourself — not pushing yourself mentally or physically too far — carving out time for mindful practice, and being gentle to others. I have been vegan since 2020, and choosing plants and compassion over the life of another animal is the ultimate ahimsa.
